Stroopwafel palava

Just came back from a trip Miami, Florida for a Christian conference with the King Jesus ministry of Apostle Maldonaldo. An amazing time with some 14,000 plus people from 115 countries. I was able to take my daughter with me on this visit and we are thankful. What's stroopwafel got to do with it?

What is stroopwafel?
Wikipedia: A stroopwafel (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈstroːpʋaːfəl] (About this sound listen); literally "syrup waffle") is a waffle made from two thin layers of baked dough with a caramel syrup filling in the middle.[2][3] Stroopwafels are popular in the Netherlands, and were first made in the city of Gouda.

I have taken it with me for years to give to American friends as a taste of Holland where I live. With hindsite, it has always been checked in. This time on the way back home, we had two packets with us. which we put into our handbagages. Mine was deep in the wheelable box, but my daughter's was the first thing on opening her bagpack. On the first trip, we got delayed as our bags passed through the X-ray. we were puzzled. No liquids, sharp equipment, ipad or laptop. What could it be . Then after a LONG wait as the person before us had lots of issues with the contents of their bags. Another officer had to intervane and check and the culprit was...The Stopwafel. We couldn't believe it. Left afterwards and as we had 6 hours to kill in Houston, Texas (stopover), went out of the airport to visit dowtown. On return, we had to go though immigration screening of bagage again, AND both our bagages were pulled aside this time for our final trip. And the culprit was ... you guessed it.. Stroopwafels!!!

On the lighter side, the lady that checked on realising that it was Dutch delicacy, jokingly said with a straight face, you can't be allowed to take this with you ... Would have offered her , if not for the potential conflict of interest.
